Dr. Johnny DeWayne Brown, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. After, in 1996, he continued his education at Life University Chiropractic College.

While attending Life University, Dr. Brown was an active member of the student chapter of the American Black Chiropractic Association (SABCA) as well as a student doctor in the Life University Research Department where he performed chiropractic clinical studies on participants diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, HIV, and other numerous conditions. This exposure allowed him to complete his studies in a variety of specialized techniques including the Activator Methods, the Diversified (full spine manipulation) technique, and the Thompson Drop.

After graduation, Dr. Brown worked as a peer-review doctor for two years, using this opportunity to strengthen his skills in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of a myriad of spinal and non-spinal conditions. The experience allowed him to springboard into independent contracting at a chiropractic clinic in Marietta, Georgia, further sharpening his business acumen. While working as a contractor, he also volunteered his services at a homeless shelter in Atlanta, Georgia, finding much satisfaction helping those that were disadvantaged.

In 2006, he shifted his career to Sparlin Healthcare where he was employed as a marketing representative. It was a slow beginning. However, in time, he moved up the ranks from marketing representative to associate doctor, to partner, to executive committee member, and finally to CEO of the once named Sparlin Healthcare now newly formed Cornerstone Performance Center.

With an embedded desire to instruct, Dr. Brown is currently teaching with his alma mater, Life University, participating in its P.E.A.K. (Practice, Excellence, Art, and Knowledge) program for senior interns. Throughout his tenure in this program, he has advised over one hundred students. In addition to chiropractic, Dr. Brown is a member of the Georgia Chiropractic Association where he formerly served as the Chaplin.

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Brown continues to serve the community through his faith. An elder of Highpoint Christian Tabernacle in Smyrna, Georgia, Dr. Brown serves as the children’s church director, youth leader, care group leader, and head chair of the male mentoring department. Dr. Brown is married to his best friend, Mrs. LaTeisha Brown, and together they are the proud parents of two wonderful sons, Dylan Christopher Brown and Jaxon DeWayne Brown.
